Gus
A. Saper is a fifth generation Houstonian and a third generation Texas
A&M “Aggie.” While the principal part of his practice is
devoted to criminal law, he also enjoys his growing commercial litigation
practice. As the business world has become more and more regulated, the
world of the criminal practitioner overlaps more with that of the commercial
trial lawyer. The ability to understand the similarities as well as the
differences and to be able to actively participate in both criminal and
civil litigation allows he and his partners to provide a level of service
usually found only at much larger firms. Combined with the litigation support
division at our firm, we offer a more intimate hands on approach while
providing the same service as the larger less nurturing firms.
As well as graduating from Texas A&M University, Gus received his
law degree from South Texas College of Law and is certified as a Trained
Mediator. Gus has been admitted to practice before the following court
systems: U.S. Supreme Court; all Texas Courts; U.S. Court of Appeals 5th
Circuit; U.S. District Courts of Texas in the Western, Eastern and Southern
Districts; U.S. District Court for Arizona; U.S. District Court for the
U.S. Virgin Islands; and the U.S. District Court for the Western District
of Louisiana.
Gus is actively involved in the following professional
organizations: State Bar of Texas; Houston Bar Association; National
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers
Association; Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association; and the Texas
Aggie Bar Association. |
